Does self-service data signal the end of IT?

Date: 24th Feb 2016

Venue: The Lanesborough, Hyde Park Corner, London SW1X 7TA

Once the preserve of the data controller, company intelligence has been truly democratised over the last decade. It has been set free and is now available on a self-service basis with easy-to-use tools, affordable software and intuitive interfaces.

Self-service is a potential boon for departmental heads to access and understand data like never before. It’s an opportunity to collaborate, to identify insights and to take decisions based on the real-time knowledge.

That, at least, is the upside of self-service data. But could it also be a backdoor to chaos, ushering in an era of zero data governance? Indeed could it threaten the future of the IT department and of IT itself?

That’s the conundrum facing senior IT professionals and the subject of this CBR Dining Club event in partnership with Talend. It will be an opportunity to quiz the experts, share experiences and discuss the future of IT with your peers. Coupled with a guaranteed great dining experience, it is an event not to be missed.
