Healthcare professionals need little convincing about the merits of mobile devices in the work environment – two-thirds of nurses use personal smartphones to support clinical workflow and communications, for example, according to the Global State of Information Security Survey – but it is also true that they can be a source of vulnerability. Two thirds of surveyed healthcare organisations described mobile devices as the weakest link in their enterprise security framework.
From the spiralling value of illicitly obtained healthcare records to high profile incidents such as the destructive WannaCry ransomware and NotPetya malware attacks, cyber security is firmly a priority issue within the NHS.
In the latest in its series of daytime Executive Exchange events CBR, in association with BlackBerry, will devote this entire event to cyber security – with a mobile twist – inside the health service. Hear keynote speeches from industry experts and listen to the experiences of fellow NHS practitioners during an interactive panel session. On the day we’ll be joined by Sara Jost, Global Healthcare Industry Lead at BlackBerry and soon to be announced CIO peers from NHS Foundation Trusts around the country.
The event includes a networking lunch and it all takes place in the elegant surroundings of The Bulgari Hotel, Knightsbridge. So do join us for what promises to be a morning of enlightening talks and action-oriented insights.
