It is said that data is an organisation’s most valuable asset – and for good reason. It provides precious customer insights and promises a competitive advantage. And its growth is its only constant – an estimated 90 per cent of the data in the world today was generated in the last two years alone while it’s projected that each of us will be creating 1.7MB of data every second of every day from 2020.
These figures are unlikely to surprise most enterprises but they do pose two overriding challenges. First, organisations are having to decide where to store their data for ease of access but also to ensure they remain compliant with tightening regulations. Only when data is properly classified can informed decisions be made about which data to store on-site, which data to place in the cloud and which data to delete. The second challenge is working out how best to extract value from data that will inevitably come in a multiplicity of formats and from different data sets.
These are the strategic and tactical challenges that you and your peers face today. That’s why we have convened this special CBR Dining Club event, in association with Hitachi Vantara. Our keynote speaker on the night will be Peter Jackson, co-author of ‘The Chief Data Officer’s Playbook’, a free copy of which will be given to every attendee on the night. You will also hear the Hitachi Vantara perspective including case study examples of customers helped along this data journey.
Do join us for a night of insightful talks, actionable advice and shared experiences.
