The figures tell their own story. According to Gartner, 28 per cent of enterprise technology spend will move to the cloud by 2022. That’s up from 19 per cent this year and amounts to $1.3trn in IT spending.
Some enterprise services such as CRM (customer relationship management) have already reached a tipping point where more money is already spent on cloud rather than non-cloud solutions. Other services will follow.
As this shift to cloud proceeds at a relentless rate, organisations must develop a migration strategy to match, one that considers applications, services, platforms and infrastructure – as well one that accounts for the ongoing interdependencies between cloud and on premise services.
At this CBR Dining Club event, in association with Intel, we will examine how enterprise organisations like yours should build a cloud solution that suits their business needs.
We’ll explore:
- how to make the right infrastructure decisions
- the respective roles and merits of public, private and hybrid cloud
- how to optimise workloads
- how to keep your cloud estate secure; and
- how to choose which applications and services to put in the cloud and which should remain on premise
We’ll also ask why some enterprises are reversing some of their cloud migration and what lessons we can learn from their missteps.
In short, this event will act as an enterprise playbook for those already on their cloud journey – and for those preparing to start.
So do join us for an evening of insightful talks from expert speakers and lively debate and discussion among peers, in the sumptuous surroundings of London’s Landmark Hotel.
