Moving VMware workloads to the cloud

Virtualisation and cloud computing have long been complementary technologies. Combining the efficiency and effectiveness of the virtual machine with the agility and elasticity of cloud has proved a winning formula for many. But not all. According to research-house Ovum, 80 per cent of mission-critical workloads and sensitive data remains on-premise due, in part at least, to performance and regulatory requirements.
