The business services sector employs over three million people across the country and trades on its ability to bring efficiency and expertise to organisations throughout UK plc. From IT services and business process outsourcing to construction and facilities management, business services benefit public and private sectors in equal measure.
As margins tighten in the wake of economic uncertainty, however, those in the business services sector need to apply the efficiencies they offer others to themselves. In addition, they will need to address an emerging skills shortage and understand the impacts – both positive and negative – digital technologies might bring. In assessing future insecurities, the finance department will play a pivotal role.
We invite you to this specially-convened CBR Dining Club event, in association with Sage, to explore these challenges and examine the opportunities open to the agile organisation. We will look, in particular, at the role business intelligence plays in forging a path to renewed profitability and reshaped business models. We will look, too, at the changing role of finance leaders – CFOs, finance directors and others – as we near the end of the second decade of the 21st Century.
If you work in the business services sector and want to push the boundaries of what the finance function can do, this is the event for you. It promises to be an evening of insightful talks, fruitful conversation and invaluable networking.
