Businesses continue to struggle to manage their data in a multi-cloud world, failing to gain full value from it in the process. As a Harvard Business Review report observed in 2017, organisations are using less than half of the structured data they own to inform decision making. When it comes to unstructured data, that figure falls to less than 1%.
The HBR report went on to note that 80% of analysts’ time is spent “simply discovering and preparing data. Data breaches are common, rogue data sets propagate in silos, and companies’ data technology often isn’t up to the demands put on it.”
It is a troubling state of affairs and reflects the challenge most organisations face today: ‘How do we get value from our data?’, ‘What can we do to monetise it?’, and – most simply – ‘How do we put our data to work?’
In an effort to address these fundamental questions, CBR is hosting a specially-convened Dining Club event in association with Hitachi Vantara. During the evening, we will discuss the benefits of DataOps, the emerging methodology designed to improve the quality of – and speed of access to – data analytics.
You will hear from Hitachi Vantara speakers who will make the case for DataOps, arguing that it is the data management gold standard for the artificial intelligence era, automating processes to ensure data gets to the right place at the right time while safeguarding information security and access.
This is an essential event for anyone charged with managing or overseeing their organisations data. It promises to be an evening of insightful conversations, actionable insights, fine dining and rewarding networking. Do join us.
